Narkiss Tam
Narkiss Tam was designed for Varityper phototypesetting systems, which were widely used in newspaper production, publishing houses, and even small graphic bureaus. As a result, these letters were highly accessible and saw widespread use. Over the years, Narkiss Tam secured a permanent place in the Israeli visual landscape through signage, packaging, publications and television. We see it as THE Hebrew sans — classic, neutral, the exemplary worker that simply gets the job done quietly, without drawing unnecessary attention and without resting for a moment, ever since 1975.

Narcissus is a genus of predominantly spring flowering perennial plants of the amaryllis family, Amaryllidaceae. Various common names including daffodil, narcissus (plural narcissi), and jonquil, are used to describe some or all members of the genus. Narcissus has conspicuous flowers with six petal-like tepals surmounted by a cup- or trumpet-shaped corona. The flowers are generally white and yellow (also orange or pink in garden varieties), with either uniform or contrasting coloured tepals and corona. Narcissi were well known in ancient civilisation, both medicinally and botanically, but were formally described by Linnaeus in his Species Plantarum (1753). The genus is generally considered to have about ten sections with approximately 36 species. The number of species has varied, depending on how they are classified, due to similarity between species and hybridisation. The genus arose some time in the Late Oligocene to Early Miocene epochs, in the Iberian peninsula and adjacent areas of southwest Europe. The myth of the youth of that name who fell in love with his own reflection. In some versions of the story, Narcissus is turned into a flower by the Gods after his death. The English word “daffodil” appears to be derived from “asphodel”, with which it was commonly compared.
נרקיס (שם מדעי: Narcissus) הוא סוג של צמחים גאופיטים בעלי בצל ממשפחת הנרקיסיים. לסוג משויכים בין 74 ל־126 מינים מהם 2 הגדלים בר בישראל (נרקיס מצוי ונרקיס סתווי (מכונה גם נרקיס אפיל) ומהם מספר נרקיסים נוספים המשווקים כצמחי נוי, כגון נרקיס מלבין. ההבדלים בהערכות של החוקרים, על אודות מספר המינים בסוג, נובעות משונות מקומית רבה בין ובתוך אוכלוסיות, מהכלאות רבות שביניהם וממכלואים לצורך זני תרבות. תפוצת הסוג ממקרונזיה ועד אפגניסטן ומדרום מזרח סין ועד יפן. מרכז התפוצה וההתמיינות של הסוג הוא בחצי האי האיברי (ספרד) וצפון מערב אפריקה (מרוקו). רוב מיני הנרקיס גדלים בר באגן הים התיכון, אך יש גם מינים הגדלים במרכז אסיה ובסין, כנראה בגלל התערבות האדם. מינים שונים הוכנסו לאוסטרליה ולאמריקה הצפונית. מינים שונים פורחים לאורך כל השנה, אך רבים מהם פורחים בסתיו ובחורף. הנרקיס הוא ערך טבע מוגן בישראל. מקור שמו של הנרקיס ביוונית — חוסר תחושה, קהות חושים, משום שחשבו שיש לו השפעה מרדימה. במיתולוגיה היוונית יש אגדה על העלם היפה נרקיסוס שהיה מאוהב בדמותו הנשקפת במים והוא הביט בה עד שמת מרעב ומצמא, והאלים הפכו אותו לפרח הנרקיס. לדעת רס״ג ושאר הגאונים, חֲבַצֶּלֶת הַשָּׁרוֹן, שׁוֹשַׁנַּת הָעֲמָקִים, (המוזכרת בשיר השירים, ב׳, א׳) היא שמה המקראי של הנרקיס (נרג׳ס בערבית) וגם ר׳ יוסף קארו מציין שחבצלת השרון היא הנרקיס (שולחן ערוך, אורח חיים, סימן רט״ז, סעיף ט׳), אך אין למילה ״חבצלת״ זיהוי מוסכם בקרב התרגומים והפרשנים הקדומים.

Li si distingue da altri formati analoghi, quali i vermicelli, poiché, rispetto a questi ultimi, vengono trafilati con una sezione (calibro) minore.
